Diacetone acrylamide with two reactive groups: N – substituted amides and ketone, ethylene and monomer copolymerization with other extremely easily, thus ketone carbonyl, introduced into the polymer, the use of ketone carbonyl chemical properties, can make the polymer/join branches such as reaction, was used to prepare various adhesives, thickener, paper reinforcing agent, crosslinking agent, etc. It has been widely used in coating, adhesive, daily chemical industry, epoxy resin curing agent, photosensitive resin auxiliary, textile auxiliary, medical and health and other fields.

It is often referred to as diamine,N-(1,1-dimethyl-3-oxobutyl) and then DAAM. The application of DAAM is as follows:
⑴ Application in hair primer
The important characteristic of diamine is that its homopolymer or copolymer is insoluble in water, but has “water respiration”, water absorption rate up to 20% ~ 30% of its weight, when the ambient humidity is less than 60%, but also can release water. This feature is used to produce hair spray fixative and photosensitive resin with diamine.
⑵ Application in photosensitive resin
Using BRIGHT, HARD and ACID-base RESISTANT SOLID DIAMine homOPOLYMER TO PRODUCE PHOTOSENSITIVE resin can make the resin photosensitive fast, easy to remove the non-image part after exposure, so as to obtain a clear image and good strength, solvent and water resistance plate.
Another important use of diamines is to partially replace gelatin. Gelatin is used as a photosensitive emulsion, which takes advantage of almost all the special properties of gelatin, so it has been difficult to find an ideal product to replace it for more than 100 years. High purity photographic gelatin will be in short supply in China for a long time, it is expected that the domestic photosensitive materials need gelatin about 2500t, but at present the production of domestic photographic gelatin is only hundreds of tons.
