N-hydroxymethylacrylamide is a white crystalline powder. The relative density is 1.185(23/4 ℃), and the melting point is 75℃. In the general hydrophilic solvent can also be dissolved, for fatty acid esters, acrylic acid and methylacrylate, heating also has considerable solubility, but almost insoluble in hydrophobic solvents such as hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons. Can be used as a cross-linking agent, widely used in fiber modified resin, processing dye, plastic binder, soil stabilizer, etc. The molecule of the product has a double bond conjugated with carbonyl group and a reactive hydroxyl methyl group. It is a cross-linking monomer widely used for fiber modification, resin processing, adhesives, paper, leather, metal surface treatment agent, and can also be used as soil amendment.
use
It is a raw material for the manufacture of thermosetting resin, light curing epoxy resin coating, oil resistant coating and drying coating. Its copolymerization emulsion is used for fiber finishing, fabric, leather and paper coating. It is also used as an adhesive for wood, metal, etc.
Used as a cross-linked monomer for acrylic emulsion. The dosage of acrylic emulsion pressure sensitive adhesive containing carboxyl group is L % ~ 2% of the total monomer mass, if more than 3%, the initial viscosity will be greatly reduced. For the emulsion adhesive without carboxyl group, the general dosage is not more than 5%. MMAM crosslinking reaction temperature alone is higher, generally 120 ~ 170℃, adding a proton-type catalyst can reduce the crosslinking temperature. Acrylic acid (AA) can both provide hydrogen protons, and copolymerization with acrylate, so MMAM to form a composite crosslinking agent with AA, the amount of 3:2 is better. The cross-linker HA can replace N-hydroxymethylacrylamide and does not contain formaldehyde.
